Lakeland, Florida chooses deputy city manager

Florida – Rob Hernandez has been chosen to take over as deputy city manager for Lakeland. Hernandez officially began his tenure Dec. 16, 2024, bringing more than three decades of municipal government leadership experience with him. He most recently served as the city’s assistant city manager. Prior to joining Lakeland, Hernandez was city manager of Cape Coral, Florida, and Savannah, Georgia. He succeeded Emily Colón.
