Ohio – Adrian Petway has been appointed as the vice president for administration and finance and chief financial officer for Central State University. Petway brings over 20 years of experience in higher education and the public sector to the role and currently serves as associate vice president for finance and administration at Virginia State University.

California – Barbara Rodriguez has been selected as the principal community relations officer at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Rodriguez has been with Los Angeles Metro for over 10 years and received her bachelor’s in business administration from the University of La Verne. 

Georgia – John Hibbard has been selected as the deputy chief engineer at the Georgia Department of Transportation. Hibbard brings over 30 years of experience in technology-focused traffic management to the role and previously served as the director of permits and operations. 

North Carolina – Theodore Voorhees has been appointed as the new town manager for Chapel Hill, effective Aug. 11. Voorhees currently serves as the county administrator for the Orange County government in northern Virginia and will take over the role from interim town manager Mary Jane Nirdlinger. 

Colorado – Manya Whitaker has been appointed as the next president of Colorado College. Whitaker brings over 14 years of experience with the college and previously served as executive vice president and Chief of Staff  to former Colorado College President L. Song Richardson.

California – Eric Levitt has been appointed as the new city manager of San Bernardino, effective Aug. 4. Levitt currently serves as the city manager in Fullerton and brings over 20 years of city management experience to the role.

Michigan – Andrew Satterfield has been appointed as the chief of police for Sterling Heights, effective July 14. Satterfield previously served as the captain of the Troy Michigan Police Department and brings 27 years of experience in law enforcement.

Washington – Jita Pandya Buño has been appointed CEO of the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, effective Sept. 1. Buño currently serves as senior vice president and associate COO at University of California Davis Health and steps into the role following the retirement of Cindy Hecker.

California – Lorraine Perez has been appointed as the new superintendent for the Santa Ana Unified School District. Perez brings over 20 years of experience in public education to the role and she began her career as a classroom teacher in the Baldwin Park Unified School District before becoming the principal of a dual-language school. 

New York – Charlene Indelicato has been appointed as Planning and Development commissioner for the city of Yonkers. Indelicato brings over 30 years of experience to the role and previously served as president and executive director of the Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation.

Maryland – Patrick O’Shea has been appointed vice president for research (VPR) for both the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) and University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). O’Shea currently serves as the VPR for UMCP and steps into the role following the departure of Gregory Ball. 

Connecticut – Sandra Bulmer has been appointed interim president of Southern Connecticut State University. Bulmer brings 26 years of experience with Southern Connecticut State University to the role and previously served as the dean of the College of Health and Human Services.
