California – The North County Transit District (NCTD) has chosen Priya Bhat-Patel and Mike Sannella to take on executive leadership positions on the board.
- Bhat-Patel was appointed board chair. She currently serves as mayor pro tempore of Carlsbad. She has been on the NCTD’s Board since 2019, later appointed vice chair in 2022.
- Sannella was chosen to replace Bhat-Patel as vice chair on the Board. He is the deputy mayor of San Marcos, a role he was recently appointed to in January 2025. Before taking office as deputy mayor, Sannella served as a San Marcos City Council member.
