William Filmore – Vice Chancellor of Government and External Relations, Troy University

Alabama – William Filmore is the new vice chancellor of government and external relations at Troy University. The promotion comes after Filmore spent the last year leading the university’s efforts in the State House as director of government relations. Prior to that, he was director of legislative affairs for Gov. Kay Ivey. Troy Chancellor Jack Hawkins pointed to the university’s recent legislative success under Filmore’s leadership as a deciding factor. Filmore began his tenure Dec. 1.
