Washington D.C. – President Joe Biden has chosen Dr. Kimryn Rathmell as the next director of the National Cancer Institute. Rathmell is the current chair of the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Rathmell will bring 25 years of university experience to the role, replacing Monica Bertagnolli.
