$14.5 million FOA for marine energy research closes in May

The Department of Energy’s (DOE) Marine Energy Research, Development, and Demonstration program focuses on research, development and demonstration activities to improve marine energy technology.

The DOE has issued a $14.5 million Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) that will support approximately 32 projects, from technology advancement and environmental impact studies to integration with the electric grid and resilience against environmental variability.

Eligible applicants include industry leaders, national laboratories and academic institutions. The deadline to apply is May 6, 2024.
