Pasadena Convention Center to get major addition

September 22, 2023

The city of Pasadena plans to expand its convention center complex by constructing a 68,000-square-foot multi-purpose arena. The $50 million expansion project will be funded through sales tax revenue bonds, which the Pasadena Economic Development Corp. will administer.

Once the 7,500-seat arena is completed, renovations on the existing convention center will begin and will include updated restrooms, meeting rooms and an overall facelift. All construction is expected to be completed by fall 2025.
