Louisiana – Gary Westcott has been appointed secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections (DOC). Westcott was promoted from his previous role in the DOC as deputy secretary. He has served the state’s DOC and Division of Probation and Parole for 29 years, briefly retiring in 2020 as regional administrator.
