Idaho governor appoints leaders for state’s IT department

Idaho – Gov. Brad Little has appointed Jason Pierce and Tyler Jackson to serve in leadership roles for the state’s information and technology departments. Both began their tenure Jan. 1, 2025.

  • Pierce has stepped into his role as deputy administrator and state deputy CIO. He brings more than 35 years of experience in the IT sector to the role, specializing in project management and leadership.
  • Jackson will take over as interim. He has more than 15 years in the IT industry, including as an enterprise architect for the Office of the Governor Information Technology Services. Before joining the governor’s office, he served with the Idaho Transportation Department for eight years.
