The funding will support projects developing solutions for recycling hard-to-process materials like fiber-reinforced composites and rare earth element magnets.
Some of the projects receiving funding include solar installations, wind energy systems, hydropower retrofits and upgrades to irrigation and agricultural equipment.
These grants will be used to further efforts to maximize deployment of clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions local to the tribal communities, as well as ensuring their energy sovereignty.
Money will flow across 12 states and 13 Tribal nations for battery storage, electric grid improvements, renewable power sources and energy efficiency upgrades
