Voters in Pittsford, New York, approved a $48.7 million referendum on capital improvements in the Pittsford Central School District. The measure passed with 86% in favor. District officials say the bond will have no new impact on taxes.
The funding will support updates across the district, including roof and mechanical system upgrades, safety and communications improvements, expanded air conditioning in large assembly areas, flooring abatement, parking lot repaving, and replacement of playground equipment.
District officials say the project will address priority infrastructure needs identified in the state-mandated building condition survey and maintain safe, functional facilities across multiple school buildings. Much of the cost will be offset by state building aid and the retirement of existing district debt, allowing the work to move forward without increasing the tax levy.
A project timeline and contractor selection process have not yet been announced.
