McQueen as new precinct one commissioner

September 22, 2023

In Bonham, Texas, Fanin County officials appointed Dale McQueen as the new precinct one county commissioner. He accepted this position after the previous county commissioner, Edwina Lane, stepped down. McQueen is a long-time resident of Fanin County, having lived there for 35 years. He began his new role on Aug. 21.

As the new county commissioner, McQueen intends to repair local roads, making the restoration of neglected highways one of his top priorities. He brings to a job a professional and academic background in chemistry and agriculture and hopes to use his knowledge in both areas to boost the success of local farms.
