Arizona – Brent Stoddard has been appointed as assistant city manager for the city of Mesa. Stoddard currently serves as deputy city manager for the city of Glendale and brings over 20 years of experience to the role.
Minnesota – Patience Ferguson has been appointed as chief human resources officer for Ramsey County, effective Aug. 4. Ferguson brings over 30 years of human resources experience to the role and previously held leadership roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, the city of Minneapolis, YWCA of Minneapolis, United Way of the Saint Paul Area, and MAP for Nonprofits.
Virginia – Kevin Hughes has been appointed as interim city manager of the city of Suffolk, effective Aug. 1. Hughes currently serves as deputy city manager and brings 20 years of experience with the city to the role.
North Carolina – Jina Propst has been appointed as deputy city manager for the city of Durham. Propst brings 20 years of experience with the city and previously served as director of the General Services Department.
Oklahoma – Angela Pierce has been named finance director for Oklahoma City, effective Aug. 22. Pierce steps into the role following the promotion of former finance director, Brent Bryant. In her new role, she will oversee 87 positions across the finance department’s seven divisions.
Tennessee – Lischa Brooks has been appointed as regional superintendent for Memphis-Shelby County Schools. Brooks brings over 15 years of experience in education to role and is responsible for securing more than $10 million in funding in her pursuit to expand access to STEM programs.
Rhode Island – Thomas Kenworthy has been appointed superintendent of East Greenwich Public Schools, effective Aug. 12. Kenworthy currently serves as superintendent of Portsmouth and began his career in education as a social studies teacher.
Delaware – Keith Pomeroy has been appointed as the next superintendent of Delaware City Schools, effective Aug. 1. Pomeroy currently serves as chief academic officer at Upper Arlington City Schools and brings nearly 30 years of experience in education to the role.
Hawaii- Jennifer Santos has been appointed as the new executive director of the Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts (MOCA) for the City and County of Honolulu. As Executive Director, Santos will lead the City’s arts and culture initiatives through strategic and community-informed programming.
Georgia – Courtney English has been appointed as interim chief of staff for the city of Atlanta. English currently serves as chief policy officer and steps into the new role following the resignation of Odie Donald.
Washington – Joseph Williams has been appointed interim director of the Washington State Broadband Office. Williams most recently served as the Information and Communications Technology sector lead and steps into the role following the departure of Aaron Wheeler.
Tennessee – Lee Smith has been selected as deputy director of Transportation/City Traffic Engineer for the city of Murfreesboro. Smith brings over 20 years of experience to the role and most recently served as the technical and program advisor for the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
