The EPA has adopted the final proposal for the LCRI, a federal program designed to enhance the nation’s drinking water quality through regulatory advancements.
The goal of this funding is to modernize infrastructure, expand access to reliable electric grids and safe drinking water and create jobs in rural and tribal communities.
This funding will go toward projects focused on identifying and replacing lead service lines threatening residents’ drinking water in disadvantaged and underserved communities.
The project will develop upgrades to the city’s wastewater treatment facilities, including updates to the city's aging Water Pollution Control Facility.
