The funding will go to projects that explore a wide range of safety enhancements, such as driver barriers, technology upgrades and design improvements.
The grants will be allocated to local, regional and tribal communities for projects to reduce fatalities and severe injuries on rural and urban roads across the U.S.
The projects set to be funded include the redevelopment of the region’s key airports, the replacement of the aging Midtown Bus Terminal and a comprehensive rehabilitation of the George Washington Bridge.
This new funding will advance hundreds of transformative projects nationwide, including rail, supply chain, port, roadway and construction materials ventures.
