UW-Madison plans $307M investment in building research facility, parking

The University of Wisconsin-Madison will spend $306.9 million to build a research building and parking ramp.

Critical need repairs account for approximately $5.3 billion of this funding and will encompass the needs for schools for up to three years.

The bond aims to fund new facilities and technologies. It will also provide upgrades and address needs throughout the district.

Now that the land is secured, the district will enter into the planning and design stage for the new Murrayville-Woodson elementary.

The state-of-the-art medical facility would serve residents of Bay and Walton counties with a wide range of medical services.

The project is the latest investment in a facility that has already received more than $1.5 billion in federal funding since 2012.

The bond, which secured 87% of the vote, will fund infrastructure upgrades across all facilities at elementary and middle school campuses.
