Greenville unveils $150M entertainment district plan

The city has unveiled its master plan for ambitious 12-acre entertainment district, designed to act as a gateway to the city.

A focal point is the area historically referred to as “Asheville’s Playground,” where the city estimates at least $25 million in damage.

The area will see a minimum of 1,600 housing units and a new, permanent stadium for the Santa Cruz Warriors.

The reconstruction project to build a new pier twice the size of the previous structure has just entered a new development phase.

This economic development program is designed to promote public infrastructure and workforce training.
