UT-San Antonio names provost for academic affairs

Texas – The University of Texas at San Antonio has named Heather Shipley, Ph.D., provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. Dr. Shipley holds a nearly 17-year career with the university, starting as an assistant professor. She most recently served as interim provost.

Linda McMahon has officially been appointed the first CEO of the Dallas Economic Development Corporation (DEDC). The organization’s board of directors unanimously approved McMahon during a May 7 meeting. She will officially begin her role July 1. McMahon previously served as CEO

Pennsylvania – The city of Farrell has hired Shawn Anderson as city manager. Anderson was previously director of development for the New Castle school district.

California – North County Transit District (NCTD) has appointed Tom Tulley chief operations officer of rail May 13. He most recently served as managing director and country manager for a rail vehicle construction company.

Georgia – Faye DiMassimo has been appointed chief of planning and economic development for the city of Savannah. She brings more than 40 years of private and public experience to the position. She previously served as chief executive officer of the Chatham Area Transit Authority.

Federal Highway Administration names D.C. office administrator

Washington, D.C. – The Federal Highway Administration has promoted Lamin Williams to division administrator of the District of Columbia Division Office. Williams has served as deputy division administrator since 2022. He brings nearly 20 years of public sector experience to the role.

Hawai’i – The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) appointed Curt Otaguro deputy director of transportation for airports. Otaguro will begin his role June 4, 2024. He previously served as state comptroller and deputy superintendent of operations for the Department of Education.
