The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) will allocate $75.9 million to support upcoming water system improvement and lead service line replacement projects.
The EPA has adopted the final proposal for the LCRI, a federal program designed to enhance the nation’s drinking water quality through regulatory advancements.
This funding will go toward projects focused on identifying and replacing lead service lines threatening residents’ drinking water in disadvantaged and underserved communities.
Top priorities identified for investment include replacing outdated wastewater treatment facilities, upgrading drinking water distribution networks, and removing lead service lines.
