The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) announced $39.4 million in federal Home Investment Partnerships Program funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development are available for single-family housing across the state.
Local governments, nonprofit organizations, public housing authorities, local mental health authorities and councils of governments may apply through a reservation system to support homeowner reconstruction and renter assistance. Eligible projects include rebuilding or new construction for low-income homeowners and rental subsidies for low-income households.
Applicants must submit materials online through TDHCA’s system in accordance with the Application Submission Procedures Manual as funds become available. Deadlines are phased through July 27, 2026. Approval to participate in the reservation system makes an organization eligible to request funds but does not guarantee an award. Funding is provided only if money remains available in the applicable region and activity category when a reservation request is submitted and approved.
