Following an extensive search, Lone Star College-Montgomery has selected De’ Reese Reid-Hart as their fifth president. She began her position on Sept. 1. Prior to accepting her new role as president, she served as Long Star’s vice president.
Reid-Hart brings to her new position a background as an educator as well as an administrator in student services. Before joining Lone Star Montgomery, Reid-Hart served at Kennedy-King College in Illinois as dean of instruction.
In response to waning enrollment numbers, she plans to amplify the college’s business and community partnerships, with additional plans to implement new student programs in the areas of biopharmaceuticals, IT, healthcare and HVAC to ensure student success in growing industries.
