Colorado – Bettina Schneider has been appointed the first Chief Financial Officer for the Adams County Board of Commissioners. The county elevated its position to meet the demands of a growing organization. Schneider brings more than two decades of executive financial leadership in Colorado’s public sector, most recently serving as CFO for the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing.
New Hampshire – Tom Galinat has been selected as town administrator for Haverhill. He previously served as town administrator for Johnson, Vermont, where he supported flood remediation efforts and helped strengthen community resilience. In Haverhill, Galinat will execute policy directives of the Board of Selectmen and advise town committees on financial matters.
Washington – Laura McAloon, J.D., has been appointed city administrator for Chelan. She most recently served as city administrator for Grand Island, Nebraska, and previously worked as city attorney for Grand Island and Pullman. McAloon has also provided attorney services to Medical Lake and Newport. Chelan officials noted her extensive experience in municipal law, budgeting and intergovernmental collaboration as key strengths she brings to the role.
Vermont – Mike Bishop has been appointed town manager for Fairfax. He most recently served as zoning administrator for Waterbury, where he guided development and strengthened community engagement. Town officials noted his municipal experience and ability to tackle complex challenges. As town manager, Bishop looks forward to building on Fairfax’s tradition of responsive, transparent and effective local government.
Pennsylvania – Dennis Sutterfield has been named senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) for Penn State Health. He brings more than 20 years of experience in health care technology, most recently serving as vice president and CIO of a New York health science university. At Penn State Health, Sutterfield will guide strategic and operational direction, oversee the transition to Epic as the system’s electronic health record, and strengthen cybersecurity and health information management across the organization.
Mississippi – Carlos A. Moulds has been appointed city manager of Gautier. He previously served in human resources for the city of Virginia Beach and as an Equal Employment Opportunity representative for a military shipbuilding company in the United States. As city manager, Moulds will oversee the city’s seven departments and lead day-to-day operations, beginning Dec. 8.
Colorado – Brian McBroom has been promoted to interim city manager for Greeley following the resignation of the current city manager. He has served as the city’s director of community development and previously spent nine years as the city manager of Commerce City. Beginning Dec. 3, McBroom will oversee city operations and support the City Council as it searches for a permanent city manager.
Missouri – Tommy VanHorn has been selected city administrator for Strafford. VanHorn previously served Strafford for 18 years before spending four years as city administrator for Battlefield. He began his career in Strafford as a maintenance worker and later became public works director. As city administrator, VanHorn plans to foster transparency, collaboration and strong relationships with community stakeholders.
