Louisiana – Brian Cox has been appointed interim executive director of the Port of South Louisiana. Cox previously served as the port’s deputy director and steps into the role following the resignation of Paul Matthews.
Illinois – Alex Voigt has been appointed as the new city administrator for the city of Geneva. Voigt brings 15 years of municipal experience to the role and has served in various leadership positions for the city of Aurora.
West Virginia – Christine Davies has been appointed as the state’s new deputy secretary for Economic Development and Workforce Participation. Davies brings 25 years of leadership experience to the role, including working on international economic, energy and development initiatives in the U.S. Department of State.
Arkansas – Michael DeAngelis has been named director of the School of Physical Sciences for the University of Arkansas Little Rock. DeAngelis has been with the university since 2011 and previously served as program coordinator of geology and co-director of both the Campus Garden and the Academy for Teaching and Learning Excellence.
Tennessee – Dwayne Tucker has been appointed as the new president of Tennessee State University. Tucker has served as the interim president since December 2024 and previously served as the CEO of LEAD Public Schools.
Colorado – Paul Doherty has been appointed as the first executive director of the Colorado State University Mountain Campus. Doherty has been with the university for more than 20 years and currently serves as the director of the Natural Resources Ecology and Measurements summer residential program.
Michigan – Gregory Smith has been appointed as the next superintendent of Lincoln Consolidated Schools. Smith brings over 20 years of experience in public, charter and private school systems, and began his career as a teacher.
New York – Casandra Wright has been named deputy superintendent of the Rochester City School District. Wrights brings more than 20 years of experience in education and most recently served as the LIFTS Coordinator and Clinical Associate Professor at the University at Buffalo.
Missouri – Diane Binckley has been appointed as city manager for Kansas City. Binckley brings over 33 years of planning experience in both the public and private sectors, and has been with the city since 2010.
Florida – Jeff Peters has been appointed as the new city manager of Fort Walton Beach City. Peters has served as the acting city manager for the past six months and has been with the city for 17 years, starting as the Recreation Director in 2006.
Indiana – Amanda Dehoney-Hinkle has been appointed as the new director of Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS). Dehoney-Hinkle brings over 15 years of experience in municipal shelter operations and animal control to the role and began her career in animal care services at IACS.
Louisiana – Adrienne Celestine has been appointed as the new director of Real Estate Development & Strategy for the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority. Celestine brings more than 15 years of experience and most recently served as a director in HORNE’s government services group.
