Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership announces inaugural board

September 1, 2023

Recently, the Fort Worth executive board introduced a new, privately funded nonprofit, the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership (FWEDP), as a partnership to boost economic growth in the city. A board of 11 executives will lead the nonprofit, each bringing experience from different corporations based in Fort Worth.

Most of the nonprofit’s board members have served previously as CEOs and presidents of different companies. Notable examples include Robert Isom, CEO of American Airlines, and Greg Ulmer, Executive Vice President of Lockheed Martin. Collectively, they will all contribute their expertise in the areas of economic growth, job creation, and infrastructure expansion. The FWEDP aims to spur Fort Worth’s ongoing growth trends and attract new businesses.

Robert Allen will provide leadership and guidance for the FWEDP board as its CEO. He has served previously as President of the Texas Economic Development Corporation, significantly accelerating business growth in Texas. His talents and dedication will accomplish similar economic goals in the city of Fort Worth.
