This funding will back the New Jersey Broadband Infrastructure Deployment Equity pilot program, which is aimed at providing high-speed internet access to underserved and unconnected areas.
Washington will use the federal grants to support last mile infrastructure projects that expand broadband access, create economic opportunities and improve educational and healthcare access for residents in regions lacking reliable internet.
The program plans to support broadband internet access for 100,000 households, 35,000 small businesses and 4,000 locations that include public safety locations, schools and hospitals
These grants will advance broadband infrastructure buildout and improve underserved and unserved community access to reliable, high-speed broadband internet service.
