TCU names vice chancellor of marketing, communication

Texas – Texas Christian University has appointed Merianne Kimmel Roth as vice chancellor of marketing and communication. Roth has been the associate vice chancellor since 2019. Prior to TCU, Roth held leadership positions at JPS Health Network, RadioShack and Visit Fort Worth, among other key strategic marketing and communication roles.

Cal State Fullerton president appointed

California – The California State University Board of Trustees appointed Ronald S. Rochon president of CSU Fullerton on May 22. Rochon is the current president of the University of Southern Indiana. He will officially assume his duties July 22.

Easton, Pennsylvania, names director of planning, codes

Pennsylvania – The city of Easton has chosen Dwayne Tillman as director of planning and codes. He had been serving as acting director. Tillman has been with the city since 2015, beginning as a general inspector and progressing to the head inspector.

Louisville, Kentucky, appoints Parks and Rec director

Kentucky – Michelle King has been hired as the city of Louisville’s executive director of the Department of Parks and Recreation. King has worked with the Louisville Metro government for two decades. She most recently served as assistant director of the Louisville Metro Air Pollution

Oregon – Julie Hoy has been officially voted mayor of Salem. Hoy will replace outgoing Mayor Chris Hoy. She currently serves as Ward 6’s city councilor.

Louisiana – Ronald J. Wendel Jr. has been appointed acting president and CEO of Port NOLA and acting CEO of the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad. Wendel currently serves as the port’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. He will replace Brandy Christian in

New York – The city of Rochester has named Harriet T. Fisher chief technology officer for the city’s Department of Information Technology. Fisher previously served as director of the Project Management Office. She has worked with the city in various roles since 1998.

California – Amy Cunningham was appointed city manager of Novato on May 14. Cunningham has been working as interim city manager since December 2023. The city originally hired her as finance director in August 2020. She officially began her role May 15.
