Virginia – On Oct. 23, the city of Salem appointed the current Assistant City Manager Rob Light to the position of interim city manager. Light will succeed Jay Taliaferro on Nov. 1, bringing 13 years of public sector experience with Roanoke County to the role.

California – Heidi Luckenbach will replace Rosemary Menard as the city of Santa Cruz’s water director. Luckenbach, the current deputy director and engineering manager for the city, has been employed by the city of Santa Cruz’s Water Department since 1999.
