Argyle ISD approves $423M for schools and tech upgrades

May 30, 2025

The Argyle Independent School District (AISD) has approved a monumental $423.2 million investment for improved campus facilities, recreation and technology infrastructure.

Supported by local voters, the district will now be able to move forward with projects to design and build new schools. AISD will utilize the funds to build a middle school and an elementary school, as well as continue construction on an ongoing project and design a future middle school campus.

Additional improvements are planned for existing facilities. The district will implement capital improvements at Hilltop Elementary, the Sixth Grade Center and Argyle Middle School. These enhancements will include upgrading the site’s exterior, interior and mechanical, engineering and plumbing systems. The district will also expand the kitchen area at the US 377 campus.

Canyon Falls High School will receive its own distinct additions, prioritizing a project to build a connecting hallway between the outer ends of the academic wings to reduce congestion. Plans are also underway to construct a new baseball/softball complex, providing dedicated, on-campus sports facilities.

Technology infrastructure will also be improved as the district expands available devices and resources to enhance learning. Some additions include classroom displays for instruction and improved network and connectivity infrastructure, such as network cabling, switches, firewalls and wireless access points. The district will also buy technician vans and upgrade security measures with PA systems, security cameras, door access and phone systems.
